Transferware

I love the look of plates hanging on a wall. If the plates happen to be transferware then the look is taken to a whole other level for me.

The transferware mixed with the various antlers adds a touch of whimsy. Keeps the space feeling quite young too.

This large grouping has such a sophisticated feel without feeling stuffing. This transferware is in lavender which I have never seen before, quite lovely.

I adore the mix of transferware with the plain white plates. Such a wonderful focal point in the room.

Here are a few pieces that I spotted at the French Market. I love the black. It brings such a fresh feel to it. I could easily see a whole wall covered in them. Just the thought of it makes me giddy!

LOVE transferware and have quite a bit of it myself, I too love seeing a collection of plates hanging, great way to warm up a room and add instant charm. They can be bought also fairly inexpensivley at markets, flea markets, even on ebay I have gotten some items..really fabulous looking!

I have been seeing a lot of this lately and I like it. It seems like the big displays that once used to be in our grandmother's kitchen or dining room are just not that "in" these days. I think this is a great alternative.

BTW, I featured Donna's giveaway on my blog today and posted the pic of you modeling the boots. Check it out! Have a good day!

Oh I love the plates and antlers in that first photo so much! My mom has been giving me her odd transferware plates and i've been glad to take them off her hands. I love my unmatched plates now and might even put them up on my wall someday. Thanks for the inspiration Paula!

I like that it can be elegant or casual, depending upon the room it is in.

Thanks for posting this! I have a few boxes of white and blue transferware china in my garage. My great aunt and uncle bought in England as a future wedding gift when I was SIX. But I haven't used it because it's a bit too formal for my taste. However, I like what I see here.
