Every home has a mirror. They make for quite a statement piece when a piece of art just won't do. The mirror that I am drawn to most as of late is a gilded mirror. They can be rather simple or ornate, but the gilded factor is what makes it shine. The one below is my favorite to date...
I adore seeing then in homes. This one is rather traditional, but has a touch of rustic that I adore.
This space is much more contemporary, but mixes well with antique pieces.
This gilded beauty is much more ornate. I love the way it looks in this space.
Here are a mixture of beauties. I know this is just for display, but wouldn't it be amazing in a grand stairwell or hall.

I am like you, love me a pretty gold mirror. I have them all over my house, in my bedroom, my sitting area, living, dining....foyers, hallways, you get it..love them. And a gilded one is my fave..love Chippendale style for a real punch and drama and love putting unusual mirrors in the bathrooms as well!
I see a gilded mirror in my future. Gorgeous images:)
I've got a couple gilded mirrors, but I love the Louis Phillipe style and still long for one!
I love the Louis Philippe mirrors. I have been thinking about one for my next house. It might just be my first grown up purchase!
I adore these mirrors! To me they are perfect.
I would love to do a collection of mirrors leading up our stairwell at the new home, the curved wall makes it a bit of a challenge to decorate...but it needed something. That last image you posted defiantly has me thinking more and more about this!!
Gilded mirrors - especially simple Louis Philippe - are my favorite! I already have two and could keep buying more. Thanks for the beautiful images! xo Lindley
I'm also a fan and like them best paired with something a bit more modern. The second picture you posted is my favorite.
We have such similar taste! At least I think so by your blog posts. I love using gilded gold paired with something rustic. Thanks for sharring the gorgeos photos
Take care,
Heather
I am loving the guilded mirrors! I just joined your blog and I am having a great time looking at everything!
I have 2 old gilded Louis Philippe mirrors - I have discovered over the years that they are incredible versatile both in mixing with other styles and working in various rooms.
I am your newest follower! Love your blog, my friend! We have a great deal in common!
