The Beauty of a Barometer

I kind of have a thing for French barometers. Love how utilitarian they once were, but at the same time were made with such beauty and elegance. These two caught my eye at the French Market...

Little pieces of art, wouldn't you say?

After doing a bit of a search it seems Holly from Things that inspire has a thing for them too. She compiled a beautiful array of photos that show off the true art form a barometer can be. These are a few of my favorites...

I have always love the gilded industrial look of them. They are a piece of art for sure!
