Antique Engravings

A couple of weeks ago I came across a post that A perfect Gray did on antique engravings. I was in awe of the beauty of the pieces. A few days later I was in the French Market and noticed a few for sale. I loved getting to see the pieces up close and they truly are stunning. Go here, for a little history lesson on antique engravings if you like.

Here are the antique engravings that are in A Perfect Grays home. Are they not gorgeous...

They are definitely pieces to collect and then pass down generations. I simply adore them.

Really pretty. It's easy to get reproductions but I like what you said about passing them down. I have collected a few and hope to do that.

I ADORE antique engravings and most definitely loved the ones over at Donna's - especially the circular openings!! I featured a house 2 days ago that had a HUGE one of ancient Rome that I loved. I may just have to check out what's available at The French Market.
