Setting a Table

This past week I had the pleasure of playing at the shop for a bit. A couple of the ladies and I put a few table setting ideas together and I thought I would share.

This one is my favorite for today. I love the ironstone plate, it reminds me of the settings I inherited from my grandmother. The whole table has the rustic charm that you know I adore, but with the use of the fine silver pieces it adds quite the elegant touch don't you think? A piece of twine and twig with little crystals makes the monogram napkin feel rather special.

This is the same wreath I used on my mirror in my dining room. Love how it's hung on the weathered shutters here. The bark handled silverware may be my all time favorite. A simple twig from the tree outdoors and a hand written name card makes for a rather lovely touch for no money at all. Let me not forget to mention the table linen. How I would love it to grace my own table at home.

All the gilded gold has me jumping for joy. It is definitely a favorite of mine. I love how the burlap table cover makes it feel less fussy. Boxwood for the centerpiece and greenery on the candlesticks that was found outdoors adds the color that was most definitely needed without taking away from the sheer beauty of each piece. I also love the idea of elevating things on pretty books in this case they are making the bust stand tall.  I rather like him too.

Which setting feels most like you? I would love to know!

I adore the first setting - it feels like a magical winter woodland. Those light lanterns above the table are just incredible too. Christmas is the perfect excuse to make the table setting amazing isn't it?

Beautiful settings! And I just love the place settings with the wooden handles, I have the perfect set of Spode dishes that would be a perfect match for them! Happy Holidays over to you Mrs. French!! xo

Very fun.. I love the sparkly twig in the napkin ring. My sister uses fresh rosemary (fragrant).
